My last post was talking about the start of my Chinese New Year lifestyle reboot - my f**k it moment - for both my mental and physical well-being.
.
A healthy body starts in the gut - so I decided to trial an initial month of 4 days a week (2 meals, 1 snack a day)

I've tried quite a few home delivery meal apps over the years, but I found that the taste, the quality and the diversity of the recipes in this one to be outstanding. I don't even like tofu - as I've always found it to be bland and tasteless - but I unexpectedly enjoyed the two tofu dishes I tried (I didn't make my own menu choices this first week). Everything else so far has included fish, chicken and beef - always with vegetables and some healthy carbs.

Sometimes you just think f**k it - life's too shor

Sometimes you just think f**k it - life's too short.
.
So...
having spent all ofJanuary, at home on my own most nights - watching Netflix,
and daytime - in and out of hospital for mutiple invasive medical tests for a health issue - I decided to start "living" my life again with a different mindset and seeking new adventures.

As who knows what tomorrow may bring?

Positivity is key
and
to wake up each day with gratitude for even the smallest things - for abundance and all good things to come to you.

It is of course now the Chinese New Year of the Fire horse.

So today was lunch @corenucopiabyclaresmyth
with my bestie girlfriend Teresa before she disappeared away abroad for the next month.
.
The food was truly fabulous and was most certainly a major treat.
I've never eaten at the Michelin *** @corebyclaresmyth - but for me this was just as special.

As you can see from my pix - the attention to detail and presentation was beyond.

There is nothing better than to meet and spend time with a group of multi-generational women who were all, both individually and collectively, fabulous and inspiring women. We did meet as strangers and definitely left as new friends.

Did you ever dream about what your future held - when you were young?

Is there anything you would now tell your younger self?
.
Did your dreams turn into reality?
.
I always wanted to work in fashion - which I did - from my first job at the age of fifteen whilst still at school - at Mr Freedom, then at Jean Machine - both on the Kings rd Chelsea.
.
I then studied fashion merchandising and design at College for Distributive Trades and St Martins school of Art.
.
From then on my career was always in fashion and style - from design, to retail, costume design and styling for TV commercials, films, ad campaigns and magazines to presenting and commentating as a fashion and style expert on TV and radio. For over 30 years I styled A-list celebrities - which is what inspired me to write my debut novel ' Secrets in the Dark' set in the 1970s, on the Kings Road, Chelsea , LA, Paris and the South of France.

My second novel Circle of Secrets will be published and available on pre- order from April. It's set in 1980s in London, Milan and Marbella when times were very different to how they are now...

We all met the best selling author,
Harriet Tyce
on TV on The Traitors
as the stand-out 'Faithful'

I'd already read and loved her best selling novel 'Blood Orange' although when I was watching the TV show, I hadn't realised she was the author of this brilliant twisty-turny plot thriller.

So this evening it was fascinating to hear her ' in conversation with' talking all about her latest novel 'Witch Trial' and the background to how she researched and wrote it.

As a relatively newbie fiction author myself - my first novel published at age 66, and my second novel to be published early this summer - I could only wish to be as successful an author as the wonderfully talented Harriet.
