Independent Celebrant

After a career of over forty years as a celebrity stylist, TV presenter, motivational speaker and life coach, I’ve taken my passion for people and storytelling to the next level. Now that I’ve trained as an independent celebrant, I’m ready to empathetically craft, write and deliver bespoke, stylish and memorable ceremonies – with symbolism and ritual – for your life’s meaningful milestones.

I’ll create your ceremonies to differ from the traditional, to reflect your values, your life journeys, and your love for each other and your families.

Ceremonies include: Second Weddings and Second chances – finding love again after divorce or bereavement; Vow Renewals; Divorce and Separation Healing Ceremonies; Baby Namings; Milestone Birthdays; Rites of Passage and Identity Ceremonies – all unique, diverse, inclusive, and glamorous – influenced by my creative background in ageless fashion and style.

How I create your unique story and special ceremony

  • Initial free consultation by zoom, or in person – if local to myself.
  • A detailed couples’ homework, in the form of a deep-dive personal discovery questionnaire, so I can get to know you, your backstories and the special moments and memories you’d like to share with your friends and family.
  • A ceremony planning meeting with you – including ideas for your unique content that can include symbolism, rituals and anything else you may envision.
  • From your input, I will create your bespoke ceremony script.
  • If it’s a wedding ceremony and you have a wedding planner or coordinator, I will liaise in full with them too.
  • We will meet again when we have a full rehearsal and logistical walk through at the venue in person – usually the day before.
  • If it’s a simple, smaller ceremony I will be there on the day with plenty of time to spare, to make sure everything is set up correctly and ready to go before guests arrive.
  • I provide professional, printed readings and vow cards for use in your ceremony and to retain as keepsakes. You may also like a symbolic certificate to sign.

If you are a couple who wish to use a friend or relative as their officiant, then I can charge for the creating and writing of the script – not my attendance, which would still require

  • Initial Consult over zoom
  • Same questionnaire as the full ceremony for you to fill in
  • Personal script delivered


In addition, as an extra add-on:

  • Coaching for your chosen officiant
  • Zoom rehearsal

What is a celebrant?

A celebrant is a trained professional who specialises in creating and officiating personalised ceremonies – including weddings, vow renewals, baby namings and any other memorable milestones in your life you’d like to celebrate.

Unlike traditional officiants, religious leaders or registrars, as an independent wedding celebrant I work closely to design the ceremony to reflect your unique love story, values and preferences – blending any symbolic rituals from your heritage, or spiritual or religious beliefs, into your personal ceremony – to make your experience intimate and meaningful.

A celebrant-led ceremony is created to be symbolic and personal – a unique blessing especially for you – that can be held anywhere, and at any time.

A celebrant-led wedding is not legally binding. UK based couples usually split the legal and ceremonial elements of their wedding into two parts – the legal marriage at a registry office with the legal marriage certificate – days, weeks or even months before the celebrant-led wedding ceremony.

I always listen carefully to your dreams and have the creative freedom to translate them into reality, making your special day everything you always wished for – with love – whether it’s a grand celebration or a small and simple gathering. It’s about getting to know you.

My ceremony will be tailored, unique and personal to you – not an ‘insert your name here’ template. A ceremony full of personal touches that can include extended family, pets or even be creatively themed, especially with my career background as a stylist.
It’s about who you are.
As a celebrant I am your creative partner in collaboratively crafting a personalised and memorable ceremony for your wedding or vow renewals, that can be held anywhere from a private home, a garden, a forest or a field, to a tropical beach, or a yacht – without the restrictions of a registered venue.

My celebrant fees are from £695 upwards – according to the intricacy of the ceremony you may decide upon. They will include meetings – virtual or in person, the writing of the script and more. The UK or location abroad, will determine travel and accommodation expenses.
